Check out the Spitbank Fort in the middle of the Solent. I can’t imagine they sell too many of their ‘Luxury 4 Night Packages’ – I’d go stir crazy after one night marooned at sea. But they do all kinds of packages, including a Mother’s Day lunch with catamaran transfers from Portsmouth all in. Having said that, I think most mothers would be looking at Claridges for a treat, so perhaps this is best saved for….Father’s Day! Mmm just think how cosy it’d be in October.
