Ahhh the Canton Arms. There’s something so becalming about this place. Is it the way the light comes through? Or that it feels truly bohemian at heart…all the punters do actually look interesting…very very good simple British fare at a good price. I can’t wait to go back! The chef has very good creds – from the Anchor & Hope stable. And the food is absolutely superb. The staff are charming, they even stock Gamay! If you don’t (can’t) end up eating here try one of the many Portuguese joints on this strip or Hot Stuff buried round the corner (more on this in another post).
