Giddy up – its Ascot!

Wow….this was fun – unbridled fun – ho ho. Managed to swing a couple of complimentary tickets which was a treat – in middle earth of the Grandstand Arena, sandwiched between the Royal Enclosure and the Silver which is basically a car park. I was very curious to know what the people watching would be like in our neighbouring stands. We were totally fine where we were, utterly absorbed. It was one degree removed from Gypsy Wedding really. Trashy and trashed. Brilliant. We won more than we spent and I have almost recovered a few days on. Met some friends on Saturday night who had some major wins and they were proper toffs in all the gear. I might still debate which area to opt for next year, I just think some of the hedonism might be lost if we upgraded….?
