Sunshine, blondes, sea. And very, very expensive bills! Just as expected all round. Spent the whole weekend al fresco, so not much to recommend – what a cop out. Lalalaaaa. What a quality of life they enjoy, messing around on boats all day. Although it was whispered in my ear all weekend “…they have supremely crap winters” it was hard to picture the sea freezing over and the skies dulling over at 2pm.
Back to the qual of life, so many choice places were shut for their industrial holidays. INDUSTRIAL HOLIDAYS! Pourquoi didn’t we import industrial strength holidays along with ABBA and The Knife?
Here’s a snapshot, but not my finest city-scalping effort I admit, gulp.

City Hall, Nobel Peace Prize party venue. Amazing – built 1911. With added water stains to give it a distressed look and feel.
Trädgården – south Södermalm – hmm wouldn’t bother. Maybe it’s ok if a gig is on.
Folkoperan Bar on Hornsgatan, Soder.
Gondolen, north Södermalm – didn’t go but I would’ve if I could’ve crossed the sea of gayness.
Kongsnarabaren Bar – old school martini joint in the city. Def recommended.
Mälarpaviljongen – right on the water. With added foliage.
