Scratch+Sniff’s Odette Toilette has listed some new and intriguing events. “The Vintage Sessions offer a chance to really immerse yourself in a specific period of fragrance history. We’ll experience many of the scents originally created at that time for both men and women, in conjunction with discovering links with the wider social, artistic, literary, fashion, even culinary contexts.”
So far so interesting but then then it loses a bit of cred and gets all girly with cupcakes, vintage cocktail dresses on display. Sigh, couldn’t this have been a bit more manly? I mean look – there’s plenty of fodder in there – The Great War, fascism and the cold war. God anything that can get from perfume to bunkers in three easy steps is a go-er in my book. But can it deliver I wonder…..? I will have to invest and find out.
