“The House of Peroni opens its doors for a month from the 3rd July, presenting an immersive experience celebrating the new wave of contemporary Italian culture. It’s a unique space where you can discover the creative minds pushing the boundaries of their disciplines.”
Aaaand another booze-initiated creative platform conceived to woo the discerning drinker – in that swish but over familiar venue 41 Portland Place. I think it’s about time we kicked out a few more embassies to free up some new venues in town. Any volunteers? Argentina, you have a gorgeous villa, fancy relocating to Surbiton where the rates would be a lot more amenable than Belgravia…?
House of Peroni opens for the whole of July to showcase the best of edgy Italian contemporary culture from cocktails (err no beer then?), to food, fash and design. The Costardi Brothers, have created a menu of Italian food ‘re-invented’; mixologist Gerry Calabrese, will create a specially designed drinks menu, ‘distilled from the very essence of Peroni Nastro Azzurro’; and displaying contemporary Italian artists and designers, such as Ludovica Gioscia, Giacome Lion, Andrea Morgante, Matteo Alessi and many more.
Check the The House of Peroni’s website – which, obviously is sooo much more than a booking site with all kinds of posts about cool creative Italiano people and projects. The talks, workshops and masterclasses are actually booking up pretty pronto so don’t hang about if anything catches your eye. And if it’s shaping up to be another wash-out summer I’d do anything to be teleported for an evening.
