Treadwell Books! There are two walky talky events next week that I’m going to miss. Shame (shamen?). Went to a lovely lost talk by writer and witch doctor Stephen Grasso on Wed – a gentle Geordie chap who talked the audience into a reverie with his readings about psychogeographic London. So many references I need to follow up…

Witches, Wizards & Warlocks: Real Magic in London
A Guided Walk with Delianne Forget
This walking tour if for everyone who knows a little (or a lot) about modern paganism and British occultism, and wants to discover the lairs of ritual, meetings, and even the houses. From Wicca’s Gerald Gardner to the Victorian ceremonialists of the Golden Dawn, London was the hub of activity. Bloomsbury and Fitzrovia were places where, over the centuries, the esoteric orders have flourishedbehind closed doors, and where secrets were whispered in quiet corners of public places – including the British Library Reading room. Led by a Blue-Badge guide who is also a Wiccan herself, this guided walk will make you see London in a new light entirely. Also runs Wed 7 Sept. Meets at Treadwell’s, lasts 2 hours.
Price: £8.00 in advance
Time: 6.50 for a 7.00 start
