Paramount 
Rise high above the throng to the dizzying heights of the Paramount Bar. Timing here is er…paramount, leave it too late and you’ll be stuck rubbing shoulder’s with the country’s finest hen parties out on the town. An early drink, circa 4ish will mean you have the viewing gallery all to yourself – just you and a fantastic 360 view across the city. London isn’t a vertical city quite yet so these views are far and few between. Book in advance, even for drinks, even if it’s absurdly early.

Try for a cancellation at one of London’s most popular new restaurants. Austere and industrial in design but warm and natural on the plate.
