So I finally got to the Magnum Club in the crypt. Reassuringly expensive, it was a bday treat. I thought the food was much better than the boyf, and enjoyed the wine – it was Sicilian night. Had a bad table unfortunately – populated with brokers and bores. It was a little like the wedding without the common ground. But the setting delivered, if it worked for Henry VIII it was going to work for me.
