Wow MORE stitch hacking! This time its on a machine. I just luuuurve a bit of futuristic craft. So get your thinking caps on because Andrew Salomone and his hacked Brother KH930 knitting machine has parachuted into the KK outlet on Hoxton Square to run up a few togs for Christmas – or even ski season. Imagine that, put those swish Swedes on the slopes in their place wouldn’t it?
Throughout December KK Outlet is exhibiting alt. festive jumpers made on his hacked knitting machine. Designs supplied by Anthony Burrill, Siggi Eggertsson, Nous Vous, Genevieve Gaukler.
But wait – it just gets a whole lot better! He’ll make a jumper to your designs for a cool £70. For 10 days Salomone will be working in the KK Outlet gallery creating customised jumpers from open submission designs. Send your artwork to manchester@kkoutlet.com stating what European size you would like to final jumper to be. The design spec due to the machine restrictions is as follows:
- Designs to be no more than 200 pixels wide and no more than 600 pixels long.
- Each design is restricted to two colors per row
- Designs to supplied in high res tiff format.
