As part of the Create Festival in the East End, writer and historian Sukhdev Sandhu is presenting works in a bunker in Dalston. I heard him speak at a night celebrating the night that Artangel ran at the old Bethnal Green Hotel a few years back. This crepuscular dweller is…in the words of the fest “an insightful observer of contemporary London’s marginal spaces and people. He presents a spoken-word event that illuminates the nocturnal geography of the city and the people who drive its pulse, from night cleaners to praying nuns. Night Haunts is an evolving oral, written and interactive journal, originally commissioned by Artangel and created in collaboration with artist Robin Rimbaud.”
Saturday 2 July, Doors 7.50pm, event starts at 8pm at The Bunker, Abbot Street, E8 3DL
