This place plugs a hole in London’s drinking dens like no other. Its so ultra traditional, as you would expect dwelling above the oldest restaurant in town (might need to fact-check that). It’s cosy, despite the the lighting needing to drop down a notch or two. They bring random bits of stilton to keep the wolves at bay and killer martinis to get you back into trouble. The prices are £££ – easily pegged in to the swishest hotels bar prices but its not an every day hangout. I think that this bar is the bar that many people like me have been waiting for.
