The Shard is establishing itself firmly in the psyche of the metropolis on Thursday at 10.15pm with a rainbow laser show. Now that’s what I call giving back to the people, before it goes into lockdown for the super rich. Well ok, there’s a ‘viewing platform’ opening sometime next year. It might be good to climb upto eye level to fully appreciate the retina burning extravaganza – how about Heron Tower, the Paramount or Tower 42? I expect they’re all booked out but worth having a go.
