Smells in Space

This Thursday head to the Royal Institution for an interactive, olfactory event presented by Marek Kukula, public astronomer at the Royal Observatory Greenwich and Odette Toilette. A tour of the smells of the cosmos, from the acid clouds of Venus to the oily seas of Saturn’s moon Titan and beyond to clouds of glowing gas in interstellar space, all accompanied by visuals from the Royal Observatory’s current exhibition, Visions of the Universe. Experience some of the strange and wonderful perfumes that have taken outer space as their inspiration…
