To coincide with the Wellcome Trust’s Dirt exhibition, the curators have decided to hone in the notion and history of digust. How fabulous!:
“Our relationship with and reaction to those objects, people and places that we find ‘disgusting’ is central to our survival. How did this first begin, and how does it manifest itself now? Taking an anthropological perspective, this event will look at the role of disgust in our earliest prehistory, current studies on our reaction to that which is ‘disgusting’ and its future in modern society.”
