The Pump House weekend bolt hole, Suffolk

I may well regret posting my favourite hidey hole. I’ve been here a few times – its small and perfectly formed. A converted pump house right on the Suffolk/Essex border in the village of Stoke by Nayland (two good pubs). Its a low maintenance cottage – the only complication sits in the corner in the form of a telescope. Never quite got it to work! Next to some big fields for good Timotei sunny cornfield/lens flare 70s walks. Its about and hour and a half from London – with a great pub The Sun Inn in neaighbouring Dedham, Constable country. Huge garden, best ploughmans.
