I spotted Andrew Zimmer’s piece on The Explorers’ Club in NY. This is so far up my hit list – I could while away a few nights in one of the clubby bars listening to torrid tales. Read Zimmer’s original article here and the NYT’s coverage of the clubs 109th dinner menu here – unorthodox to say the least. It’s not an easy building to access, your best punt is to go along to an event. Much like London’s RGS there’s a regular programme of talks by wanderers about wildebeest.
