Next week Jaron Lanier will be in town. A tech inventor and philosopher, he’s been around long enough to have coined the odd term that has wormed into everyday language, such as ‘virtual reality’. Well, maybe that was bandied around a bit more in the Lawnmower Man decade. His last book, You Are Not A Gadget, was had a pretty huge impact on the digital sphere and now he’s in town to tell us Who Owns the Future?, with James Bridle.
