Popped into Hebden Bridge yesterday to do some shopping. It’s the lady-gay hot spot of the UK. Disappointingly they’re not hanging around under streetlights in tuxes smoking cigars. It is an odd little place though – also rumoured to have one of the highest suicide rates in the country, as explored in this film. It’s so often hailed as this creative and alternative eden tucked away in a valley – which it is so how these facets are co-exist in this mutually exclusive way is rather intriguing.
Staying at Cragg Hall Barn in the Calder Valley again. Some friendly new wildlife has arrived in the hood.
The panoramic view of the barn served up last night’s supermoon on a silver platter. It was gilded with late night conversations about Amazonian Ayahuasca and its contemporary psycho-theraputic uses…what trippy, introspective, scary and beautiful botanic matter.
